Randi originally started her journey in massage therapy in Arizona, which is where she grew up. She studied at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe. Two of the major takeaways from her studies there are that energy should move in a balanced way through the body, and physical movement along with healthy fascia are two key components of healthy energy flow and injury prevention. During her time in Arizona, Randi worked at a chiropractor’s office. Many of her clients were recovering from injuries and/or were active people or endurance athletes seeking maintenance massages for repetitive physical activities. Movement and myofascial release are techniques that Randi uses in most of her massages. She has also done many massages for general wellness and relaxation and believes that a relaxed mind will help promote healing in the body as well. As such, she tries to make every massage as comforting as it is therapeutic. After three years of doing massages in Arizona, Randi moved to Connecticut for graduate school. She now has an M.A. in Linguistics from Yale University, but wanted to return to massage therapy, as she missed working with people, helping them achieve their wellness goals and heal themselves. Randi wanted to stay in the Northeast, as she has come to really appreciate the beautiful nature in the area and having multiple seasons throughout the year. She completed the massage therapy program at Cortiva Institute in Connecticut so that she can practice massage once again, in Connecticut. She is very happy to be able to help people recover, heal, and stay well. When not doing massages, Randi likes to hike with her dog, paint, and build furniture.
